Mumbai, Oct 14: The ever-so-script-hungry Bollywood has drawn inspiration from yet another real hero, cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly, whose ever so tumultuous life will soon be spread all over the celluloid for public viewing.
The cricketer who has formally announced his retirement plans post the ongoing India-Australia test series will very soon have a documentary added to his goodie bag.
To be directed by Mitali Ghoshal, the film has been tentatively titled as the: ‘The Warrior Prince’. And like the name suggests the documentary will focus on the warrior-like qualities that this Prince of Kolkata possesses.
Speaking to a news daily, Mitali said, "Sourav’s fighting spirit was not confined to the cricket pitch. His ability to fight back even when all he had behind him was the wall, justifies my title The Warrior Prince".
But, wait before your dismiss this one as just another monotonous third person record. The documentary will have Ganguly narrating the story of his life and all the ups and downs he has faced so far.
The 80-minute film will not only give a detailed account of Ganguly’s personal life from his childhood days, it will even have important cricket personalities like Greg Chappel, Azharuddin, Jagmoham Dalmia and Shah Rukh Khan talking about the cricketer.
