Washington, Nov 19: Pop diva Britney Spears called her marriage to Kevin Federline a mistake, insisting that she tied the knot for all the “wrong reasons”.

The ‘Toxic’ singer spoke out about her marriage with K-Fed in a candid new documentary.

"I think I married for the wrong reasons,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

"Instead of following my heart and doing what made me really happy, I just did it for the sake of the idea of everything," she added.

Spears confessed that she didn`t know what she was letting herself in for when she walked down the aisle with her former beau.
