Boy George reduced to selling T-shirts

London, May 17: Disgraced pop star Boy George has been forced to sell T-shirts for 10 pounds ($20) in east London to make a living.

The sun.co.uk reports that the 46-year-old looked bored and miserable as he sat there selling his wares earlier this week.

He said: "It`s been all right - quiet though. I`m bored and cold but we have to do a Friday stall to get a pitch on Sunday."

At the peak of his fame in the 80s, George had sold more than 10 million records with the group Culture Club. But of late he has had to deal with heroin addiction and in 2006 he had to sweep the streets of New York on a community service order after he falsely reported a break-in at his flat and cops instead found him consuming cocaine.

To make matters worse, he will face trial in November for reportedly assaulting and imprisoning a male escort.

He is accused of having chained the man to a wall in his flat.
