In an exclusive interview to Spicezee, the shy Imran Khan opens up a little as he talks about his love, debut movie, uncle Aamir and more.

Spicezee Your film has released and viewer’s reactions will be flooding your mindspace soon. But what was your first reaction when you saw the film?

Imran I thought it was a bad film! I had acted really bad and Abbas I thought is the worst director and both our careers are over. But then Aamir stepped in and said that I was wrong because of the lack of my experience. He said it needed some more editing, some quality dubbing and it will come out of wonderfully after some tweaking. After I saw the film, I thought the ‘old man’ is right!

Spicezee ‘Old Man….’? You said that for Aamir?

Imran Oh yes I call him that sometimes. And he gets angry at that. Recently he got a hamstring, I SMSed him ‘serves u right ol’ man. You should play your age now- a father!’


Spicezee But Aamir’s fans will hate you for that….

Imran Oh no its not to offend anyone. Its just a prank I play on hoim. He gets excited after that and says no way I am very young and all..! We go to the gym together and I tease him he should not pick up those weights in his age and he proves it to me that he can lift even heavier weights.


Spicezee Ok tell me, do you relate with your character Jai in the film?

Imran Well Jai is a very calm guy and yes I am like that. When I saw the script, I thought Abbas had written it completely with me in mind! I do r elate to him.


Spicezee Do people tell you look and sound like your uncle?

Imran They have! They do it everytime. We look and sound quite similar. You won’t believe even our families get confused sometimes..


Spicezee Imaran I don’t know if I should be saying this…but you are engaged in an affair with a beautiful lass…?

Imran I am. Her name is Avantika and I loveeeee her.


Spicezee Oh I can hear so many hearts cracking out there…

Imran Come on. If you have a partner then how can you say you are single? Its an insult to them? I am sure my fans will understand. Hope they will wish me luck.


Spicezee Now that you are so candid, tell us how it all began

Imran Well I met her about 6 years back at a common friend’s place. We kept talking through the night and forgot about all others present there! It just happened, I guess.


Spicezee How romantic….did she see the film? How did she like it?

Imran She couldn’t be objective. She loves me afterall. She liked the film but couldn’t say much.


Spicezee Your uncle is known as a perfectionist. You plan to follow his lead?

Imran No! Perfectionists are boring. Aamir is so irritating- he is perfect. Sometimes that is a bore. I can’t be that good really.
