Mumbai, July 02: In a dramatic sequence of events, former husband of actor Sanjay Dutt`s wife Maanyata, Meraj- ur-Rehman, allegedly escaped from the custody of Hyderabad police and though he was later arrested from a private TV news channel’s office in central Mumbai, Meraj made some shocking revelations about his link ups in Bollywood.

After escaping from police, Meraj went to a seven star hotel in Mumbai where he was accompanied by two policemen, who allegedly assisted him in running away. While Meraj and the two policemen enjoyed drinks at the lavish hotel, he went to speak that it was Maanyata who had been paying him big bucks to ‘keep his mouth shut’ and withdraw the case from court against her.

Speaking to policemen, Meraj said, "Maanyata asked me not to go to court. She said that she would pay me big bucks if I keep my mouth shut. She said she could give me the money but not our son."

Meraj also went on to reveal that the rumour about Sanjay Dutt’s sister Priya Dutt not approving of Maanyata is just that-rumour.

According to Meraj, Priya had approached him to withdraw the case from court and she had also offered him money for the same.

"Priya told me to take the case back. She said that I have the support of the entire Muslim community and they will pay me whatever I ask for", revealed Meraj.

After spending about two hours in the hotel, Meraj then went to a news channels office. It has been reported that he asked them to take his interview. However, the channel informed police who came on the scene and took him into custody.
