Mumbai, July 02: Hordes of hairdressers from across the country grabbed the opportunity to express their creativity while participating in `Third L`Oreal Professionnel Colour Trophy` organized in Mumbai.

Twelve finalists were selected for the Grand Finale of the Trophy, which is held in 32 countries around the world.

Ace fashion photographer, Vikram Bawa said the whole idea of organizing this competition was to give people from interiors of India a chance to come up.

"The criteria of judging was: How well balanced the cut was, did it suit the model, was the colour suitable for the model, did the whole combination work and was it fashionable today and is it something that is going to be marketable. So these are the important points that have to be taken into consideration when we are making the final judgement. It all has to work together to get a beautiful picture," Said Jenifer.

Twenty-eight teams selected from each zone, will compete with each other at Grand Finale slated to be held in the city on September 4.

They will compete for the titles of L`Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Category, the L`Oréal Professionnel Men`s Image Category and the L`Oréal Professionnel New Generation Category.

Colour Trophy, which is the biggest event of its kind in the world, is an annual event for talented individuals to show off their individuality and creativity.

The event acted as a melting pot for Indian hairdressers from all over the country to come together on neutral grounds to interact and compete with their counterparts.
