Yes, the two most publicised films of recent times ‘Love Story 2050’ and ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ have released across the country today. And believe us when we say that a lot is at stake this Friday as the two newcomers battle it out at the BO.
From indulging into over the top media frenzy to attending countless promotional events the two debutants, with the big power packed banners backing them, have exploited each and every means of publicity to get them maximum eyeballs pre release.

And why not the two films share too much in common for them to be not pitted against each other. Care to guess what?
For once, both the flicks have two sizzling hot new comers who come in all hip and savvy. Then again, the starry lineage that the two come with. On the one hand there is the cute faced Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan, who has his uncle speaking more for him than he ever could and on the other hand there is the raunchy looking Harman Baweja, filmmaker Harry Baweja’s son whose impeccable resemblance to superstar Hrithik Roshan seems to be stretch beyond just looks.
And the third and the most important similarity that the movies share is that they cater to the same genre of audiences and that is what makes this competition into a match to watch out for.
Story matters
As for the story of the two films, here too the banners have kept their cards close to their hearts, revealing nothing but teasers.
All that is known about ‘Jaane tu Ya Jaane Na’ up till now is that the story revolves around the central character Jai Singh Rathod played by Imran Khan.
Jai is by far the most non-violent Rajput, who hates to pick up fights. And then meet the violent, bubbly Aditi Mahant, who is quite a bashing up kinds. She screams, she shouts and brings the whole house down. The only person who can calm her is her best buddy, Jai.
In short, the two are fitted perfectly together (once again proving the age long theory of opposites attract). The entire world around them is aware of the chemistry between them but they are too good friends to think on such lines. So when will the two know its love…
The movie is touted to be a musical romantic comedy (almost everything) that has a group of college buddies at the centre of events.
As for ‘Love story 2050’, the movie is said to be a futuristic romantic flick that goes on to show that love has the same meaning in all times.
This is the story of Karan played by Harman Baweja and Sana played by Priyanka Chopra. The two here are opposites in every sense possible. Karan is a happy go lucky types, doing what his heart prompts him to do while Sana is completely different from him.
For Sana everything has to be done in a set fashion, rules are a must for her. She can’t think of a life with no discipline. Even though the two don’t understand each other they fall in love. Then comes Karan’s eccentric scientist uncle Dr Yatinder Khanna played by Boman Irani, who has dedicated nearly fifteen years of his life to develop a time machine.
Things take a twisted turn when Sana expresses a wish to travel through time into the Mumbai of the year 2050. Everything is fine till they land in the futuristic Mumbai with Karan, Yatinder and Sana and her three siblings. But what happens next takes everyone by surprise. Sana is somehow separated from the gang and what we see next is Priyanka Chopra turned into a rock star, ‘Zeisha’ who has no recollection of Karan.
Zeisha is arrogant, rude and popular. However Karan is bent upon proving his love to her and takes the help of a robot QT who aids him in reuniting with Sana or Zeisha..
So go out and catch any of these flicks. If not the movie the two new hotties are sure to prove your money's worth.
