Mrs Madhuri Dixit Nene open to film offers now

Mumbai, Aug 16: Bollywood’s original ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl, Madhuri Dixit, who is based in the United States after marriage, has said she was open to film offers.

"I have been offered scripts and will sign if something very interesting comes up. Logistics can be worked out whether the film can be shot in the US or India," she said over phone from New York.

The `Dhak Dhak` girl was the guest star of Amitabh Bachchan-led `Unforgettable` tour in the United States and performed in six cities, including the last one in New York.

About interaction with Big B, Madhuri said it was good fun to be part of the US leg of the tour that started last month and consists of Bollywood style song and dance shows.

"Though I have not worked with him in any films, I have always admired Bachchan and this tour was a good opportunity to interact with him. There is so much to learn from Amitabh Bachchan," she said.

The actress, who dominated the silver screen in most parts of 1990s after making her debut in 1984, said the tour was a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

She said her husband, surgeon Sriram Nene, accompanied her to some of the shows. "Amitabh Bachchan is the only Indian film star my husband recognises and he remembers watching only `Amar Akbar Anthony`."

"He told me that Bachchan was excellent on stage. My kids are too small to travel with me. They came only to Los Angeles. Otherwise they stay with my mother-in-law," the actress said. Madhuri said her two sons would start going to school from this month.
