New Delhi, Aug 17: Ranbir-Deepika love affair is the talk of the town these days and director Siddharth Anand film `Bachna Ae Hasino` features the couple.

Incidentally, the film brings three sons Ranbir, Siddharth and Hiten Paintal together, after their fathers worked together almost 30 years before in the movie `Duniya Meri Jeb Mein` in 1979. Siddharth’s father, Bitto Anand had produced the film, which starred Rishi Kapoor and veteran comedian Paintal as well.

Siddharth had earlier director `Salaam Namaste` and `Ta Ra Rum Pum`. In an interview, the young director touches upon the topic featuring his third Yash Raj project.

Q: Tell us something about this movie.

Siddhartha: It`s a story of a man named Raj and the three different women who enter his life when he is 16, 24 and 30".

Q: Who are the performers in the movie?

Siddhartha: Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, the film also stars Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and character artist Hiten Paintal in an important role.

Q: Why Ranbir as the lead actor?

Siddhartha: I needed someone who could play 16 and 30 at the same time. So, from the onset, it was Ranbir. And I knew he is a good actor.

Q: Looking at the amazing Ranbir-Deepika chemistry and their real life friendship, it must have been convenient for you to get the effect.

Siddhartha: I did not exploit Ranbir-Deepika off-screen chemistry. It`s a team effort. A captain needs help from every team member and not some of them.

Q: What do you say to Hiten Paintal’s performance in "Bachna…’?

Siddhartha: I am all praise for Hiten. He is underrated at present and has a great career ahead as character artist. He will definitely surprise you all with his performance.

Q: Are you satisfied with the performances of your cast?

Siddhartha: I am a tough taskmaster. But fortunately, I had actors who could understand and compliment me. I am pretty happy by the work of my cast.

Q: Why are there so many foreign locations in the movie?

Siddhartha: Its an effortless movie. Since the story demanded, so the movie travels to so many cities around the world. I do not think any Hindi film ever before has been shot in so many cities abroad like Zurich, Sydney and 15 cities from Italy alone!

Q: The release date of your movie is special. Is there some special reason behind this date selection?

Siddhartha: Not really. Yash Raj releases films with a gap of around a month or two. So, it’s just a coincidence.

Q: You already have three successful films to your credit. What is the secret behind this early success?

Siddhartha: Well, its talent that matters and not age. I have made three films till now. I think it is the state of mind and confidence to handle the project that matters.
