London, Aug 25: A Brit couple`s lust became so strong that they ended up having sex at a tram stop. Unfortunately for them, their lovemaking was caught on camera by a stunned CCTV operator.

However, despite the operator`s pleas for them to get dressed and desist, the woman of 29 and her boyfriend aged 17 carried on. In fact, British Transport Police officers had to drive out to arrest the pair and bed them down overnight in cells - separately - before releasing them with cautions the next day.

The incident took place at 11pm at the Wandle Park stop in Croydon, South London. It is believed that the couple were either too drunk to hear the CCTV operator`s request for them to move on or just too involved in their raunchy session to pay any attention.

"They were asked over the public address system to stop but persisted. They were arrested and both were found to be intoxicated," a Transport Police spokeswoman said.
"They also found we don`t approve of people having sex at a tram stop," she added.
