Italian prime minister croons love songs

New York, Aug 27: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is recording an album of love songs that will come out at Christmas.

Berlusconi, who was recently re-elected for a third term, has hit the studio with guitarist Mariano Apicella to record 14 tracks, which he has written himself, reports contactmusic.com.

"The entire CD does not touch any political themes but is just about love," revealed Apicella.

Berlusconi and Apicella collaborated in 2003 for an album called "Meglio una Canzone" (Better a Song) that reached the top 50 in Italy.
