London, Aug 29: "Desperate Housewives" star Ricardo Chavira is not happy with the show`s writers for coming up with a childhood obesity plotline because his sister battled weight issues throughout her childhood.

Chavira`s character Carlos` young daughters suffer from obesity in the upcoming fifth season of the show and he admits he is a little uncomfortable with the premise.

Contactmusic.com quoted him as saying: "Seeing it (obesity) in my family and (considering) the childhood obesity issues in the United States right now, should we be making fun of it?"

But the show`s writer Marc Cherry assured him that the plotline will be handled sensitively and people have been banned from using the word "fat" on the set.
