Mumbai, Aug 29: It has caused him his friendship with SRK, bought him intense media and public disdain but Salman Khan just does not seem to get over his old flame Aishwarya Rai and all those who surround her. In an attempt to bury the hatchet and make peace with his ex-girlfriend, Salman has now extended an olive branch to her hubby Abhishek Bachchan.

From being the most hyped about affairs that moved on to a devastating breakup, the Sallu-Ash saga had all the making of a blockbuster. No wonder, then that the patch up too is creating as much fireworks as did the heartbreak tale.

With talks of Ash being the sole reason behind the SRK-Salman face-off, the buzz now has it that Salman is bent upon breaking the ice with the Bachchans.

According to our sources, Salman is doing what it takes to be friends with Ash. Story goes that Salman was shooting for ‘Veer’ at a studio, when Abhishek dropped in for a promotional shoot of ‘Drona’. Taking the opportunity he went to greet Abhishek and the two ended up in chitchat for 30 minutes in Sallu’s vanity van.

A news daily has even quoted Salman`s spokesperson Alok Mathur as saying, “It is true that Salman and Abhishek met. They chatted for some time. Salman is extremely fond of Abhishek."
