Anti-Scientologists to visit Holmes’ play

Anti-Scientologists to visit Holmes’ play

London, Sept 03: American actress Katie Holmes will be having the jitters big time on the opening night of her New York play ‘All My Sons’, as a masked anti-Scientology gang will be sitting among the audience.

Holmes will be facing the army of activists from the group Anonymous when she makes her Broadway debut next month.

The activist will be sitting silently among the audience at the Gerard Schoenfeld Theatre, and they will be wearing plastic likenesses of Guy Fawkes on their faces.

“We aren’t looking to shut All My Sons down. We don’t have the power to do that – we just want to prove a point,” the Sun quoted a representative for Anonymous as saying.

“We just want to save Katie. We want to draw attention to Scientology, and hopefully get Katie out of it before it’s too late,” the rep added.

The Church of Scientology, whose teachings are based on the work of a science fiction writer L Ron hubbard, has developed a reputation as a cult.

Its members have also been accused of harassing critics and reaping financial rewards from the organisation.

Anonymous describe themselves as a “leaderless worldwide group of concerned citizens”.
