New Delhi, Sept 05: Yet another romantic comedy form Hollywood, which ain’t that comic afterall. Yeah… you read it right, if you’re looking for some cute fun then this one isn’t for you for sure.

‘What happens in Vegas’, starring Demi Moore’s arm candy cum husband Ashton Kutcher and the not so young now Cameron Diaz, can’t boast of anything major. Neither does it have the required chemistry between the lead pair nor does it have the funny moments that make a successful romantic comedy that we expect Hollywood to churn out.

It is surprising to see both Kutcher and Diaz fail in their comic attempt in spite of being the notorious goofballs that they are.

Diaz is seen playing Joy, a thorough professional, a contemporary career woman who decides to let her hair down in Las Vegas after being bitterly dumped by her boyfriend (Jason Sudeikis). It is in Vegas only that she bumps into Jack (Ashton Kutcher), who has a troubled job. A few hours and many drinks later, they’re husband and wife. They wake the next morning all set for divorce in an attempt to undo the stupidities, but like they believe in Bollywood –An end is a beginning and here comes the filmi twist.

Their annulment plans go haywire when Jack wins a USD 3mn jackpot on a slot machine using Joy’s quarter (as cliché as it can get). So now, if the couple gets divorced, Joy might get half of the money. However, a judge (in true Bollywood style) freezes the winnings and orders the hostile pair to give their marriage a chance.

And that’s when their adventure really begins... And so this odd couple is forced to live together and play a happy family for their counselor (Queen Latifah). More irritating humour follows and that is the end of matter.

So here’s the verdict- simply miss this one and grab a drink with friends instead. This one barely manages one star.
