New Delhi, Sept 06: Monica Bedi, who has recently been voted out from the Bigg Boss show, is lamenting her departure, claiming that she did not get enough time to clear up her maligned image, as she takes time to open up.

The actress was in news for being connected to Abu Salem. She had a live-in relationship with Salem, the underworld don.

"I was never married to Abu Salem, I only lived with him for a year,`` Monica had revealed.

Her stint in ‘Bigg Boss’ was also much in news. Firstly, because of her connection with Abu Salem, then due to Rahul Mahajan’s love proposal to her in the show. It was reported that despite Monica’s claim of no more connections with Salem, the latter was not quite happy with Rahul’s proposal to his ex-flame.

Anyway, Monica’s stint in the ‘Big Boss’ did little to change the way Mumbai has been treating her. For the actress claimed, "Nobody wanted to rent out a house to me in the suburbs. It is sad, but I will fight it out and clear my name."

"I wish I had got to spend two more weeks in the Bigg Boss house. It would`ve helped me clear my name. I am someone who takes time to open up. I really needed people to know that the real Monica Bedi is not a bad girl!" Monica lamented.

Let’s see, if the opportunity knocks twice in her life or not, then she might learn not to take so long to ‘clear up’ things. Promptness pays, no use ruing later!
