Come one!! Come All!!....Join the BLOGWAGON
Very recently we have been seeing a new weapon being brandished. But it is not a weapon of killing. Rather it is a tool on the world wide web. This is being used as the new tool to express oneself and to state one’s beliefs.
And it is gaining in popularity in huge proportions. With thousands of people already having access to this weapon, it has become one of the most potent and effective tool of all time. It has become the most fervently used term in the cyberspace.
It is the ‘BLOG’. But before we go any further we must know what the term blog is. If we go by the dictionary, blog is a website, usually maintained by an individual, with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. In ordinary terms we could say ‘blog’ is an online diary in which an individual expresses himself.
It has become a potent weapon for some people who have always wished to express their beliefs but never found a suitable mode to do so. People are freely expressing their views on the cyberspace and making their voice heard. And by the bug of blogmania continues to grow. But every coin has two sides. If on side it is being used a way of penning expressions, on the other hand it is also being used a weapon to hit out at your enemies.
In recent times we have seen big Bollywood starts also getting smitten the blogmania. Bollywood has finally perhaps decided that if can’t beat the paparazzi, just join them. And who out of all gets smitten, none other than our own man of the millennium Amitabh Bachchan, the all time favourite Aamir Khan, the muscle hunk Salman Khan and many more are joining this bandwagon or should we say blogwagon. And generating a huge response from their fans, they seem to have got hooked. Their direct connect with the viewers has bowled them over.
The bouncing blog has brought these huge personalities right into out bedrooms and office spaces, where we can chat and interact with these people as never before. These personalities are using the web to interact with their fans, letting them know what they feel about their surroundings.
But on the flip side they are also using the blog space to hit out at their opponents, ridiculing their colleagues in the same profession and also at time telling what to do or not to do. But all of their blogs do not show them in good light, inspite of their telling that there is nothing personal about it. It is not proper for a person of such stature to ridicule anyone in public.
This result in tarnishing their own image instead of the person they are trying to attack or ridicule. The Health Minister must have had smoke coming out his ears when BigB decided to take him on the blog. These celebs have become regular bloggers pitching in comments and spicing up the blog sites. Aamir’s says in his blog that his pet pooch’s name is called Shah Rukh, but King Khan refuses to react by saying he doesn’t posses patent of his name. So the surfers are having a treat from the blog wars.
It would quite interesting if our cricketers and netalogs also join the blogwagon. Won’t it be interesting to get to know MSD from a little closer perspective? Just imagine what it would be to chat with Lalu Prasad Yadav himself and know his thoughts. So it’s a request for all celebs to join the Great Blogwagon and get connected. Till then just go out there and savour a chat with your favourite celebs.
