Indian writers honoured in London

Indian novelist Nasera Sharma and short story writer Usha Verma have been honoured with literary awards instituted by a UK-based South Asian writers` group. At a function organised in the House of Lords, Britain`s Home Office Minister of State Tony Mcnulty presented the 14th international Indu Sharma Katha Samman to Nasera Sharma for her novel `Kuiyaanjaan`. Verma received the Padmanand Sahitya Samman for her collection of short stories `Karavaas`.
